Ya’ll I’m not really sure where to start with this one. What an incredible engagement session! We had been planning Johnny and Hanna’s engagement session in Breckenridge and Hoosier Pass in Colorado for months. It felt like a photographer’s dream to have it come to reality!
Hanna and Johnny’s wedding this upcoming summer will take place at the stunning Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights, OH. However, they live in Colorado and wanted their engagement session to reflect all of their favorite parts of the gorgeous state they call home. Hoosier Pass showed off the jaw-dropping views. To get the most out of the beautiful views at Hoosier Pass, we opted for a sunrise session. We then made our way down to the Montgomery Reservoir at the bottom of the mountain, and finished off exploring in Breckenridge, CO.
This was easily the coldest engagement session I’ve ever photographed. It was a whopping 3 degrees when we first started shooting at Hoosier Pass. We quickly adopted a pattern of shooting for 5 minutes, taking a break in the car to warm our fingers and toes, and then shooting again. Our fingers may have come close to freezing off but it was 1000% worth it for the images we got!
From gondola rides to golden-doodles, sunrises to quant storefronts, sub-zero temps to perfectly selected outfits, this engagement session had it all. Enjoy the images below!
