In home newborn sessions are quickly becoming my favorite type of session to photograph. So when Bethany reached out about an In Home Newborn Session at their home in Jamestown, NY, I jumped at the opportunity. Little Theo was a complete angel, flipping between dozing off and content awareness the whole session.
Something I love about in home newborn sessions is the ability to document such a transitional season for families. For me, it’s all in the little, everyday moments. Such as a quick change on the changing table in the thoughtfully decorated nursery, or the family dog giving their new little sibling a sweet kiss. These are the moments that you cannot replicate anywhere else, and are also gone all too quickly.
One of the benefits on an in home newborn session is that you can take your time. Feeds, changes, and breaks are a normal part of the session. We let your little one set the pace for the session, and work with their needs. It’s always my goal to make your little one’s first photo experience an abundantly positive one! Plus, I have the CUTEST Moses Basket I bring to sessions that babies have a tendency to LOVE.
Another benefit is how personal the session feels to you and your family. While I do love a good studio session, there is something about being in someone’s own home that creates the sweetest images. Can you tell I have a thing for in home newborn sessions?
I seriously could not be more in love with this gallery of images, taken for such a sweet family. I hope you love them also!
