An Autumn Engagement Session at Chautauqua Institution | Nolan & Madeline

Nolan reached out a few weeks ago about an autumn engagement session for him and Madeline. When he mentioned wanting to go to Chautauqua Institution, I knew we were going to create something beautiful! We had to reschedule a few times, but we ended up with the most magical late autumn day. The air was crisp and there was almost a fog lingering from the morning rain. The whole grounds of Chautauqua were peak moody autumn vibes.

How the Session Went…

Madeline got ready at the amazing St Elmo Day Spa (my favorite place for a massage), and then we headed out into autumn cold. We started their autumn engagement session with walking down Clark St to the Hall of Philosophy. Nolan and Madeline had done some scouting of their own the prior day, and both loved the beautiful white columns of the Hall. I couldn’t agree more!

We then strolled along the Lake to the front lawn of the Athenaeum Hotel for some classic CHQ shots. We wrapped up near the Clock Tower with some waterfront shots, and got a little editorial as well. There were lots of giggles along the way, and I definitely did not accidentally hit Madeline in the face with an umbrella.
