A Full-Circle Maternity Session | Jordan & Rebecca

There’s something so fitting about starting a maternity session in the exact spot where a love story began. Jordan and Rebecca said “I do” at The Grandview of Ellington, so when it came time to plan their maternity session, going back felt like the only option — and their sweet boy on the way got to be part of the story from the very first frame.

We started their maternity session at The Grandview, with those rolling fields and that big open sky doing all the work. Rebecca held up her ultrasound photos by the pond as the light went soft, and Jordan and Rebecca settled into a blanket in the tall grass, laughing about nothing in particular the way you do when you’re just soaking in a season before everything changes. A little later, in the woods nearby, Rebecca took a quiet minute to herself — hand on her belly, looking out at the trees — one of those unscripted moments that ends up being everyone’s favorite from the gallery.

From there we made our way to Long Point State Park in Bemus Point to catch the sunset over Chautauqua Lake. Rebecca stood at the water’s edge as the sky turned gold behind her, and we wrapped the evening with a close-up of that growing belly, a “Boy Mom” sweatshirt, and Rebecca’s hand right where their son will be here before they know it.

Jordan and Rebecca, thank you for trusting me with this season again. From your wedding day at The Grandview to welcoming your baby boy, I feel so lucky to keep getting to document your story.
