This beautiful Breckenridge mountain wedding was our first wedding of the infamous 2020 season. I couldn’t be more grateful for the way this amazing couple handled every challenge sent their way.

Chase and Amy were putting the final plans into place for their early 2020 wedding Covid hit.  They had to change their plans not once, not twice, but FOUR times.  Venue cancellations, complete change of states, family and friends flights being canceled, state borders shutting down…  Needless to say, Covid weddings were not for the weak of heart. It pushed couples to change plans, be flexible, and focus on what really mattered.  I was grateful that through all of their changed plans and redirections, one thing that stayed constant was Chase and Amy’s desires to have me there to photograph whatever their day ended up being.

In the end they landed on an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends in Breckenridge, Colorado.  They rented an AirBNB a few minutes up the mountains to host everyone, and the AirBNB host gave them access to his private property up the mountain to host their ceremony.  It was a private, romantic affair that set the tone for the whole year.

2020 was a difficult year for everyone. The wedding industry was no different.  With guidelines and regulations changing by the day it was difficult to make any concrete plans.  Jackson and I quickly realized that 2020 was going to be a make-it-or-break-it kind of year. I’m so grateful that Chase and Amy’s Breckenridge mountain wedding was our first wedding of that tumultuous year.
