Chautauqua Institution Autumn Wedding | Cavin & Aleson

And just like that, our 2025 Wedding Season comes to an end. Cavin and Aleson’s Autumn Wedding at Chautauqua Institution was absolutely stunning, and the perfect way for us to end our season.

One of Aleson’s and Cavin’s big requests for the day was for it to feel very relaxed, laid back, and easy. When planning their wedding day timeline we allocated lots of time for them to get ready at their own pace, and then several pockets of time for photos throughout the day.

Aleson and Cavin got ready at Aleson’s family home on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution, and then we walked around the grounds hitting a few favorite points for their portraits. One of those special locations was the Hall of Christ where Aleson’s parents got married.

Their ceremony was at the beautiful Miller Bell Tower Park, overlooking Chautauqua Lake. Cavin and Aleson had an intimate micro wedding of 15 of their closest family and friends. Scroll down to see their Handfasting Ceremony as they literally tied the knot.

Following the ceremony their cocktail hour and reception was at their favorite local restaurant, Stella: Kitchen and Bar, located in Lakewood, NY. The food was absolutely incredible and Jackson and I will be going back again in the future!

Finally, as the sun dipped below the horizon we slipped down to the Lakewood Park Beach for some sunset evening portraits. This is easily one of my favorite parts of any wedding day.
