There’s something special about photographing a family for the second time — especially when the first time was Gabe and Nichole’s wedding day. Two years later, I got to spend a golden summer evening with their whole crew on Lakeside Drive in Bemus Point, and watching how much the kids have grown since then made this session extra meaningful.
This family knows how to have fun in front of the camera. Between piggyback rides, tickle fights, soccer goals, and a baby who stole the show, there wasn’t a single posed, stiff moment in the bunch. We wandered from the shaded lawn under the trees to the dock, catching the last light bouncing off Chautauqua Lake, then wrapped up on the back porch as the sky went soft and golden.
My favorite part of sessions like this is the in-between moments — the belly laughs, the barefoot kids swinging their legs off a porch railing, a big brother gently holding his baby cousin. Those are the images families treasure most years down the road.
If you’re planning a family reunion or multi-generational session on Chautauqua Lake, I’d love to help you capture it. Get in touch to check availability.
