I love repeat clients. There’s nothing better than photographing a family more than once. A couple years ago, I photographed the Stark family right here on Chautauqua Lake. This summer, they invited me back, and wow — these kids have grown (plus a new addition)!
As a Chautauqua Lake family photographer, I get to watch families change year after year. Sessions like this one are exactly why I love this work.
A Full Crew on the Lake
We started along the Chautauqua Lake shoreline in Bemus Point. The overcast sky gave us soft, even light — perfect for portraits. No harsh shadows. Just a gentle glow over the water.
Some of my favorite images came from the in-between moments. A baby taking wobbly steps across the grass. Sisters piled together, laughing. A little boy kissing his mom’s cheek. These are the moments families treasure most.
The Lollipop Tradition
At our first session, we took a photo of all the cousins with lollipops. Sticky fingers. Scrunched-up faces. Pure joy! It became one of the favorite photos from the session.
So this time, we did it again. Same lollipops. Same grassy field. Same group of cousins — just a little taller and a lot more grown up.
Why I Love Family Photography on Chautauqua Lake
Watching kids grow up through my lens is a privilege. I love returning to families year after year and building traditions like this one along the way.
