When my husband and I found out we had a baby on the way, there was no one we trusted more to document this new season of life! I cannot say enough good things about Katie. Her communication leading up to and during the photo shoot was fantastic, which gave me such confidence that she knew exactly what we hoped to capture. It's also worth mentioning that the photo shoot was a birthday gift for my mother, who is a photographer herself, and thus has very high standards for photos. My mom loved the pictures - the eye for composition, subtle editing to enhance the color and contrast, and attention to detail that Katie demonstrates is truly exceptional. We will treasure these photos for years to come.

Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. Even the busiest of kiddos can get amazing family photos!

If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.

The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during July and September/October, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!

How far in advance should we book?
q:
If it looks like it's going to rain, heavy snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule. Often, when we're scheduling your initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
