bring on the adventure

"When my husband and I found out we had a baby on the way, there was no one we trusted more to document this new season of life! I really wanted the entire process captured: from first announcement, to maternity photos, and of course, newborn photos. Katie offered a Journey Package that was absolutely perfect for this! Having just finished the last of these sessions, I am beyond thrilled with the results and SO happy we chose the Journey Package."

This varies from couple to couple, and I will help you pick the perfect spot for YOU!  Whether it's in your home, a scenic outdoor spot, or in a studio, we will brainstorm and choose the spot that best fits you.

Where should we take our photos?

For maternity sessions, I always recommend wearing what makes you feel most comfortable and beautiful.  Whether that's a flowy maxi dress, or a Calvin Klein bra and un-bottoned jeans, wear what YOU feel best in.

I always recommend going to your Pinterest board of saved maternity photos you've likely been collecting since college (same girl, same).  What are the women wearing in those images?  Jump off from there.

And if you need some extra assistance, shoot me an email.  I always love helping plan outfits!

What should we wear?

q:

The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during July  and September/October, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!

To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!

How far in advance should we book?

q:

If it looks like it's going to rain, heavy snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule. Often, when we're scheduling your initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
